Black Olive Tree (Bucida buceras)

Black olive is a spiny, wide-spreading, slow growing evergreen tree with very dense foliage and a spreading crown that becomes oval to rounded with age. Tolerant of air pollution.

Height : The tree usually grows 9 – 18 metres tall.
Light : Prefers a position in full sun.
Humidity : Requires high humidity.
Uses : The tree is ideal for planting as a windbreak. Generally it is also often used as an ornamental/shade tree.
