Pistia stratiotes, also called as Water Cabbage is a small, evergreen perennial plant with feathery roots. Free-floating in lakes, ponds etc, the plant forms rosettes of leaves.
Height : Grows up to 6 cm tall with a flowering stem up to 12 cm tall.
Light : Succeeds in full sun or partial shade.
Humidity : Requires high humidity.
Uses : It can be used as an ornamental in controlled situations where it cannot escape. It is a popular addition to container water gardens and is sometimes used in tropical aquariums.
