Water Hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes)

Eichhornia crassipes, commonly known as Water hyacinth is an aquatic plant that can be free-floating in the water or rooting into the mud in shallow water. Water hyacinth can also be used to remove pollutants from water.

Height : It grows 50 – 100 cm tall.
Light : Prefers growing in a sunny but cool pool.
Humidity : Requires high humidity.
Uses : Widely planted as an ornamental plant, The plant can also be cultivated for use in wastewater treatment.
